Methodology
Most Malaysian court lists are a name and an address. Ours is a score you can argue with, because the rubric is public. Five pillars, twenty points each, applied identically to a RM25 community hall and a RM60 club.

We track 32 verified pickleball venues across nine states, holding roughly 110 individual courts. Kuala Lumpur and Selangor account for just over half of them. New venues are opening monthly, particularly conversions of futsal courts, badminton halls and mall car parks.
Court hire runs from about RM25 to RM60 per hour. DBKL public halls in Kuala Lumpur charge RM40 per hour indoors and RM25 outdoors. Private clubs start around RM35 per hour and lifestyle venues reach RM45 to RM60. Split across four players in doubles, a typical session costs each person RM10 to RM15.
Pickle Social Club at Bukit Kiara is the most established dedicated club, with four covered and four outdoor courts. For cheaper play, more than a dozen DBKL community halls now have marked pickleball courts, including Bangsar Sports Complex and the TTDI Community Centre. Zebra Square in Kampung Pandan takes bookings almost around the clock.
No. Most Malaysian venues that run open play or beginner sessions will lend you a paddle for your first few visits. Buy your own once you are playing weekly — expect to spend RM150 to RM300 for a decent starter paddle.
Yes, and it is growing quickly. The sport is recognised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and it has spread fastest among players aged 30 to 60 who find it easier on the joints than tennis or badminton singles. Tournament fields in the Klang Valley now regularly draw hundreds of entries.
